Bollywood stars are reportedly
endorsing brands for a lesser price
than they used to command last year.
With the economic slowdown taking
its toll in the film industry many
actors have brought down the prices
considerably earlier this year.
The latest buzz we hear is that
Shah Rukh Khan has signed up a deal
that ranges between Rs. 1 and 2
crores with Linc pens. Earlier,
he took home a fat pay packet that
hovered around Rs. 6 crore.
Priyanka Chopra retains her deal
with the mobile phone major Nokia
for the same price, but this time
she will be seen endorsing many
of their products.
According to Vinita Bangard, COO
of Percept Talent Management, “Stars
are now willing to renegotiate deals
and be more accommodative about
brand requirements. So deals are
being structured to suit preferences
of both the celebrity and brand.”
