Case against director Bala
August 04, 2009

A petition filed by Gopinath on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Handicapped Welfare Association against director Bala and producer Srinivasan for depicting the handicapped people in poor light in their film Naan Kadavul was taken up for hearing at the City Civil Court yesterday. The defendants, Bala and Srinivasan, were not present during the hearing and neither did both of them file a counter to the petition. However, an advocate representing the defendants asked the court for more time to file a counter.

On hearing this, the magistrate ordered that both the director as well as the producer be announced of this issue through a public proclamation. The case has been posted for hearing on September 7th.
