After
the success of Uliyin Osai, yet another
novel penned by the Tamil Nadu CM Dr.
M. Karunanidhi is set to be made into
a film. Ilavenil will direct the novel
Surulimalai, written in 1957. Incidentally,
Ilavenil had also wielded the megaphone
for Uliyin Osai. The story and dialogues
will be penned by the CM. However, sources
say that the director is still contemplating
on
whether to retain the original novel's name
or opt for a new one. The film's shooting
is expected to commence sometime next month.
Sundar C and Sneha could be roped in to
play the lead roles in this love story set
at the backdrop of a village.
