A sneak peek into your favorite stars’ world of Diwali
Though a lot of festivals are observed in our country, Diwali can be rightfully called the King of Festivals. These days, this festival of lights has transcended all religious barriers as it is being celebrated by one and all with traditional gaiety and fervour. Though the general pattern to celebrate this joyous occasion is to rise early, have ‘Ganga Snanam’, eat sweets, burst crackers and visit friends and relatives, there is always a curiosity as to how the stars in Kodambakkam would be rejoicing on this occasion. Here we go, on an expedition to the ‘film world’ .

Nayan’s Diwali in abroad

This Malabar beauty is on cloud nine as this Diwali would witness her in three of the releases viz. E, Vallavan and Thalaimagan. But the poor soul is not here in the country as she is off to Canada for a Telugu shoot with Prabhas. After all work is worship for this gorgeous lady. She conveys her wishes to everyone and requests people to see all her films without fail.

Trisha to embrace saree for this Diwali

Trisha loves to celebrate Diwali in Chennai with her family especially with her grandmother. But this year she is not too sure if she can be in Chennai as she is also busy shooting at Hyderabad for Sainikudu wit Mahesh Babu. In the event of her returning to her home town, she is keen to spend the day with aged people at an old age home donating them food and clothes. She is not too keen to shop for Diwali as such but has a sequined saree, which she is planning to wear if in town.

She is an ardent fan of mysorepak of her granny’s preparation and prays that she should be in Chennai to relish the same. Her message to her fans, “enjoy without worrying about anything”. On a signing note, she wishes good luck to all Diwali releases.

Sandhya’s Diwali on streets with crackers

This young girl like any other teenager loves to spend Diwali on streets. Yes… she would be bursting crackers all day and evening. She views this occasion as a family get-together day. As it is the usual practice to wake up, pray, eat sweets and burst crackers, Sandhya would extend the same practice this year too. Among dresses, her favourite is pavadai and blouse. This year, she has a pattu pavadai to flaunt around. From the gastronomical point of view, non-vegetarian items are cooked in her house on that day which she is looking forward to. She wishes all her fans a Happy Diwali and urges them to see her film Vallavan in theatre.

Sneha’s Diwali with fast

Just like the advertisements that she figures in, Sneha is also fond of silk sarees and churidars which she has purchased three sets in each this year. According to her festivals are times when the entire family is under one roof. In addition to praying, bursting crackers, eating sweets, she would be gifting goodies to people who work for her. As it is customary for her family to observe fast on this day, they would not serve non-vegetarian items. Television programmes are also an added attraction for this smiling beauty on this joyous day. Sneha is busy in shooting till 20th and is back in town only on Diwali day.

Bhavana’s Diwali in Jeans – just for a while

Bhavna is the most pitiable lady this year as she has to shoot for films on Diwali day. In the costume section, her vote goes to jeans which she is planning wear for a short while before she starts tearing her clothes for the shoot.

Shreya – a break from Sivaji

This Rajni heroine would be taking a small break from Sivaji to be with her family members in Delhi. Socially conscious Shreya has no plans to burst crackers as it would pollute the environment. She is also against child labour and that is one reason she abstains from indulging in bursting crackers. This year has proved good and promising for this north Indian actress who after Sivaji would be seen with Dhanush in Thiruvilayadal. She has also been booked for ‘Azhagiya Thirumagan’ with Vijay.

Pity Vishal, eager Arya and anxious Simbu

Arjun is an out and out family person. This Diwali, he would be spending time with his family bursting crackers with his daughters. He is also much excited about his ‘Vaathiyar’.

For Arya this would be time out with his friends. This Diwali is also special to him as his Vattaram is getting released on that day. He sure is waiting with bated breath for the audience response.

Vishal, on the other hand would be outside Chennai shooting for Thamiraparani with Hari. He is not sure if he can be with his family this Diwali.

Simbu the little superstar would get respite only now as Vallavan is completed and is ready to hit the silver screen. He would also be anxious about its performance in the box office as he has slogged for this film for a long time.
