Meera charms Dhanush but not his better half?
Dhanush is all geared up to take up the next challenge ‘Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram’. The movie is well designed and the posters announcing the launch of the movie hit Chennai walls yesterday. Everyone concerned with the movie is very happy with the posters except for one soul. Dhanush’s better half Aishwarya is poignant with his selection of the heroine.

She feels that Dhanush looks much younger to Meera and wanted her to be changed. But Dhanush was said to be very firm in Meera as the heroine as he feels that she can deliver the goods perfectly.

We have reported sometime back in our website that Dhanush will be pairing for the first time with Meera Jasmine in this film. For those of you who are not informed, this movie would be a remake of Kannada ‘Jogi’ directed by dance master Raju Sundaram.

National award winner Archana also will be his costar. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director.
Meanwhile ‘Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram’ began today with the industry’s who’s who attending the grand muhurat of this movie. This film was launched with a recording of a song at the AC floor of AVM studios.
Director KR on behalf of K R Infotainment produces this movie. The Pooja began with the lighting of the lamp by Rajathi Ammal, the wife of the chief Minister Karunanidhi. Producer KR is a distinguished producer in all the four south Indian languages. The very fact that important functionaries of Malayalam film producer’s council and the distributor’s council attended the function indicates the business acumen of the producer and star value of the film.

In addition, the pooja was attended by various film fraternities including Ramanarayanan, President of Tamil film Producers council, K C Shekar Babu, President of Telugu film Producers council, H D Ganaraj, President of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, K Nandakumar, President of Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce, Producer-Director Chandrashekar, Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay, Asin, dance master Sundaram, Director Raju Sundaram and people from all sections of film industry. Notable absentee was Superstar Rajnikanth.
Competition to buy and distribute the film has already begun. The combination of Rajusundaram, Dhanush, Meera Jasmine and Yuvan Shankar has already raised the expectation of everyone present and people are certain about the success of the film.
The offbeat title of the movie springs from the name of the character that Dhanush plays. His name in the first half is Azhagu Sundaram and in the second half he changes into a don named Parattai. Incidentally Parattai is the name of his legendary father-in-law in the film 16 Vayadhinile directed by Bharathiraja. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores the music, Jeeva’s assistant Arjun Jana is the cinematographer. Dhanush believes that this movie would be a turning point in his film career and a wholesome entertainer for the entire family.
