At
this juncture, it is not surprising
that he feels elated to be in
the new film titled ‘Parattai
alias Azhagu Sundaram’,
a remake of the Kannada blockbuster
Jogi. The film is to be directed
by dance master Raju Sundaram.
He is the latest to join the
bandwagon of dance masters wielding
the megaphone after Prabhu Deva,
Lawrence Raghavendra and Farah
Khan in the Bollywood.

Archana
who won the national award for
Balu Mahendra’s ‘Veedu’
plays Dhanush’s mother.
Her role is supposedly a pivotal
one in this film. Dhanush has
a stiff competition from Meera
and Archana who are known for
their acting potentials. It
is heard that he is taking voice
modulation classes from Rajnikanth,
his father-in-law.
The off-beat title of the movie
springs from the name of the
character that Dhanush plays

name in the first half is Azhagu
Sundaram and in the second half
he changes into a don named
Parattai. Incidentally Parattai
is the name of his legendary
father-in-law in the film 16
Vayadhinile directed by Bharathi
Raja. While the film is being
produced by Kayaar, Yuvan Shankar
Raja scores the music, Jeeva’s
assistant Arjun Jana is the
cinematographer. Reliable sources
say that the muhurat of the
movie is scheduled for August
31 in a remarkably different
manner. |
