Ajith vs Bala – Ajith fans join the scene!!
Ajith
Did he do it? No, no he couldn’t have. But, he could just have. If you wondered about whom we are talking in such dilemma, it is about the reported incident in which director Bala and a few others forced Ajith to do according to their whims. The details are only emerging slowly. This story beats the latest racy thriller for its twists and turns. Director Bala, whose next film would be Naan Kadavul had been the center of controversy earlier for the financial dealings for the distribution of this film.
Now come the shocking revelation about how Ajith who was announced as the hero had been removed.
The origin of Naan Kadavul

It goes like this. Ajith who at the peak of his popularity had had wayward spending habits had worked in several indifferent films just to support friends. When his career slumped, he had just Godfather, Paramasivan and Tirupathi going. Godfather had been progressing in fits and starts while Paramasivan and Tirupathi were completed on time and had a fair run.
Bala
Bala who had wanted to do a film with Ajith approached him and he readily agreed keeping in mind Bala’s stature. He had asked for the story for which Bala said he would come back soon. Only the name was finalized as Naan Kadavul.
Ajith
Four crores – for discussion alone!!

Initially A.M. Rathnam wanted to produce the film but Ajith had reservations about this. Therefore, PL. Thaenappan took over and gave a sum of Rs. 13.5 crores to Bala out of which he paid Rs. 1.5 crores to Ajith as advance. Bala took nearly two years to develop the story and amount spent for discussion stage – cool four crores.
Thaenappan’s refusal

Bala then went to Thaenappan and demanded that the film could be made only with a budget of 15 crores. A hamstrung Thaenappan bluntly refused and asked Bala to think of some other hero who commands less than 50 lakhs. It was then that the decision to rope in someone in place of Ajith was taken. Bala had also requested Ajith to act in another film under Seeman to be produced by him.
Thaenappan
Ajith did not relent and also agreed to step out of Naan kadavul fed up with the delayed approach of Bala. The advance paid to him had to be taken back.
