A 26-year-old woman allegedly went missing from 16th August to live with her childhood friend who became a trans man (female to male cross-sexual). Reportedly the woman wants to get married to the trans man. According to media reports, the couple has been consulting an advocate Sudha Ramalingam, who supported them and with the help of Chennai police commissioner, the woman was allowed to go with her partner. When the woman's parents protested against the decision, the police reportedly said that the woman was major and can make her own choices on the life partner.
