Starc's absence cost off-spinners: Ganguly

Retired Indian skipper, Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday, said that the absence of Australia’s left-arm speedster Mitchell Starc in the third Test resulted in off-spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Nathan Lyon failing to find purchase at the track in Ranchi. "Off-spinners did not get wickets here. This is because Mitchell Starc was not there, so the rough outside off-stump was not created," he asserted. Notably, Ashwin managed to pick only two wickets in the entire test match, while Lyon ended up with the only wicket of a tired Cheteshwar Pujara.
