The Patna district administration on Monday reportedly announced that 538 secondary and senior secondary teachers of government schools in the district have not reported for duty for anywhere between three and five years. The District Magistrate has called for an explanation from the district education officer. A sudden inspection has also revealed that barely 50 per cent teachers report for duty at schools.
