Tamil Nadu launches ‘forest drone’

Tamil Nadu government on Monday reportedly launched five drones to monitor man-animal conflict and wildfire in the forests. The drones had been launched in the forests of Hosur, Gudalur, Coimbatore, Kodaikanal and Tirunelveli. Notably, Tamil Nadu is the second state in India to use drones to monitor wildlife. The initiative was launched on the International Day of Biodiversity.
