AVM is the producer of Perarasu’s next film, which has Ajith in the lead. Titled Tirupathi, the film has received wide publicity in the media as shooting has commenced. Meanwhile, the film was also stuck in a controversy because another production house had already registered the name Tirupathi in their favor.

While director Perarasu and AVM sought to negotiate a deal, the other company did not budge and threatened to go to court. In order to avoid bitterness and unnecessary legal wrangles, Perarasu has come up with a new title and AVM has agreed to it. Accordingly, the name of Ajith’s Tirupathi has been changed to Theeppori. The word also features in the opening song of the film.
