Cheran’s
new heroine will make a mark in Tamil cinema |

Cheran
is credited with bringing out the innate
talent in actresses. He does not believe
in using glamour or sex in his portrayal
of women. No one can forget Mallika, Gopika
and Sneha in Autograph. For his latest film,
Thavamai thavamirundhu, he has brought in
a new girl called Padmapriya. She is an
MBA and used to work as a risk analyst with

trained dancer and avid theatre artiste.
Although she has many Malayalam films to
her credit, she says that acting in her
mother tongue gives her the most satisfaction.
She is thankful to Cheran for giving her
this opportunity in Thavamai. She has a
thinking head on her shoulders and says
that she would give preference only to the
script and the director. As long as one
has confidence in the director, the performance
will be fine. Her next film is Pattiyal
opposite Arya, directed by Vishnuvardhan. |
