The
whole industry is agog about the meteoric
rise of Nayantara. The docile debut in Ayya
notwithstanding, she performed very well
opposite superstar Rajinikanth
in Chandramukhi.
The film has made her join the league of
top stars. She commands about Rs. 30 lakhs
per film |

at present. She does not mind doing glamorous
numbers as is evident in Ghajini. Her smooching
scenes in Kalvanin
Kadhali and Vallavan
have made headlines even before the films
have been released. She will pair again
with Sarath in Thalaimagan, which incidentally
is Sarath’s 100th film. She is also
a much sought after actress in Malayalam
and Telugu. She has therefore proved that
glamour and performance have to walk hand
in hand to reach the pinnacle. |
