Katrina Kaif’s solo countdown
to usher in 2010 will cost Rs. 2
crores to the JW Marriot Hotel in
Mumbai, if sources are to be believed.
The actress, who was to have performed
for the 2009 countdown could not
do so, as the show was cancelled
in the last minute owing to 26/11
Mumbai attacks.
It has now become a trend of sorts
to have the leading ladies from
tinsel town perform during the New
Year bash in the 5-star hotels.
In the year 2007, it was Mallika
Sherawat, who was paid Rs. 50 lakhs
for her show. Bipasha Basu was paid
Rs. 90 lakhs during the 2008 countdown.
