The chosen one to direct Kamal Haasan next is ...

The director of the next big Kamal Haasan project, under Lingusamy's Thirrupathi Brothers banner was a matter of contention and discussion among ardent film buffs over the past few weeks. Names such as Ramesh Aravind among others were doing the rounds but Lingusamy had maintained that it was Kamal who will take a final call on the director of this film, tentatively titled Uthama Villain.

Now, we have come to know that Ramesh Aravind is the chosen one to wield the director's baton. Ramesh Aravind has worked with Kamal many a time as an actor, in movies such as Panchathanthiram, Mumbai Express, Manmadhan Ambu and Sathi Leelavathi. He has also directed Kamal in the Kannada version of Sathi Leelavathi, which was titled Rama Shama Bhama. Now, he will have the honor of directing Kamal again in this movie which will have Crazy Mohan's dialogues and Yuvan Shankar Raja's score.
