Director SA Chandrashekar, father of Thalapathy Vijay, spoke during the recent audio launch of the upcoming film Visiri which revolves around the fandom of Vijay and Ajith. 

Among many other interesting bits of trivia about legendary actors like MGR and Sivaji Ganesan, he also revealed a fact about Vijay's career that even many of his fans may not know. He revealed that Vijay's first film ever was Vetri, and that Vijay's salary, even as a child artist, was Rs. 500. This was a huge amount, considering that Vetri happened in 1984.
