Lokesh and Anupama Kumar’s My Son Is Gay gets selected at the 29th New York LGBT Film Festival

Director Lokesh’s debut venture is My Son Is Gay starring Anupama Kumar and Jayaprakash in pivotal roles. The film touches upon a totally fresh idea and is touted to have content that is very important for the society. The latest is that, MSIG as it is shortly called has been officially selected at the 29th Annual New York LGBT Film Festival. Talking about the selection, Lokesh told Behindwoods:

It is our second selection after Melbourne Film Festival. For the first time in 100 years of Tamil cinema, a film based on the gay concept starring known faces has been selected into this New York Film Festival. There have been short films and concept videos but MSIG s the first full length feature film. It is very exciting and the screening is on October 23rd at 4pm. We are looking to send it for few more film festivals and I am simultaneously working on the script of my second project which will be a movie with commercial elements. MSIG will also come to theatres soon, right after we are done with these film festivals.
