Director Sundar.C's magnum opus Sangamithra, produced by Thenandal Studios Limited, is one of the most anticipated films in Tamil Cinema, which is planned as a two-part feature.
Now, we have the first big update about the film. Our close sources have informed us that Sangamithra's first schedule will start rolling from April 14, next year, on the auspicious occasion of Tamil New Year.
The film, which stars Jayam Ravi, Arya, and Disha Patani in lead roles, has music by A.R.Rahman and art direction by Sabu Cyril.

The much-awaited announcement about the lead heroine of Sundar.C's epic film Sangamithra is finally out. It would be Dhoni film's heroine Disha Patani who would be playing the titular role of the film.
Hema Rukmani of Thenandal Studios Limited, announced this through her tweet, "Exclusive:Introducing @DishPatani as #Sangamithra! @khushsundar @MuraliRamasamy4 @actor_jayamravi @arya_offl @SangamithraOffl".
Earlier Shruti Haasan was supposed to play this role, who couldn't do the film then, due to various reasons. Sangamithra will mark the Tamil debut of actress Disha Patani, who would star alongside Jayam Ravi and Arya.
