BREAKING: AJITH TO PLAY A KING IN HIS NEXT FILM?

Thala Ajith Kumar, who is on sabbatical, is soon expected to team up with director Siva for the third time. This venture, which is apparently funded by Sathya Jyothi Films is likely to commence by mid-April or May.

It is also speculated that Ajith would be simultaneously doing another project with director Vishnuvardhan. Rumors suggest that this Ajith - Vishnu project will be a historic film and it is said that Ajith will be playing the role of a king.

Our sources close to the director said that Vishnuvardhan and veteran writer Balakumaran have been working on a historical subject for the past 4 years. And now it looks like Ajith might play the lead role in this historical film. An official confirmation from the team is awaited.

When Behindwoods spoke to the legendary writer Balakumaran, he said “I have completed the script work from my side and it is up to director Vishnuvardhan to decide on the hero, if it is going to be Ajith or some other hero is something I don’t know.”  

It must be noted that Ajith has acted in a historical film called Ashoka (Hindi) before, which released in 2001. He played the role of a prince in the film.
