Making a short film has always been a stepping stone to tell a story through the big screen. For all the aspiring filmmakers, we at Behindwoods give you all an opportunity to showcase your talent. Presenting the 'Behindwoods Gold Medal for the Best Short Film', we launched this award at our Behindwoods Gold Medals launch event held on May 31st at the Raintree hotel, Chennai.

The award was unveiled by our renowned short filmmakers turned big screen directors - Balaji Mohan and Karthik Subbaraj, the most sought after Santhosh Narayanan and the producer known for encouraging new-age films, CV Kumar.

This award is a new addition in our Behindwoods Gold Medals. To the ambitious young talents who are waiting for an opportunity to knock the door, all you have to do is make a short film in the comedy genre for not more than 8 minutes. The film can be mailed to our office address. 2 Best Short Films will be awarded at the main event of Behindwoods Gold Medals to be held on July 19th and winners will also get a chance to narrate their stories to one of the leading producers.
