After a few near misses, Suriya and Lingusamy have finally come together. In the project that is as yet unnamed, Suriya is set to star against Samantha in the lead and the shooting is rumored to begin coming August.

“Lingu is unique” says Suriya commenting on the ways that he stands out as a director. Director Lingusamy’s originality in bridging together action and sentiment on a single platform and still managing to be engaging and appealing to all types of audiences, is what manages to impress Suriya.

The Singam actor has also said that he was approached to act in Lingusamy’s debut effort Aanandham, but could not accept the project as he was busy with Bala’s Nandha. He was similarly occupied with Ghajini while he was approached again for Sandakozhi. Now after many years of hide and seek it is indeed a very good news to movie goers that the two have finally gotten an opportunity to join hands in the director's newest venture.
