TAMIL MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

It has been three years since Singam released and went on to become a blockbuster in Tamil. The movie has since been remade successfully in Hindi - and it is only fair Hari wants to milk the success with a sequel.

The sequel has a firecracker star cast as its original with Suriya playing the title role. Anushka reprises her role but this time around, Hansika also gets to play a female lead role in the film. The ensemble star cast includes Vivek, Santhanam, British actor Danny Sapani, Radha Ravi, Nassar, Vijayakumar, Rahman, Mansoor Ali Khan, Thalaivasal Vijay and Manorama. Anjali performs an item number.

Shot extensively in India - Tirunelveli, Karaikudi, Tuticorin, Hyderabad, Chennai and in Kerala, Singam 2's international locations include Dubai, Durban, Cape Town and Kenya.

This movie will bring together Suriya and Hari for the fourth time (the earlier ones are Aaru, Vel and Singam). Their combination has produced commercial entertainers since Hari has a knack of delivering masala with the perfect blend of comedy, action and family oriented cinema.

Singam 2 is scored by Devi Sri Prasad, who returns from the original and his Puriyavillai number is already topping the charts.

Produced by Lakshman Kumar, Singam 2 will be released this weekend. The teaser trailers are already creating enough buzz for the movie in social media and other platforms setting the stage for its release. Certified U, Singam 2 will be poised to tap into the family audience demography just the way the original did.
