A number of films are being planned for a May day release this year which incidentally happens to be Ajith's birthday. One among those is the short-film maker turned feature film director, Nalan Kumaraswamy’s Soodhu Kavvum. Both the music album and the trailer of the film have done well among the mass.
 

Considering the fact that Soodhu Kavvum is the maiden project of Nalan, the expectations are surprisingly higher than usual, all thanks to producer CV Kumar of Thirukumaran Entertainments and Studio Green, who are distributing the film.
 

Starring Vijay Sethupathy and Sanchita Shetty in the lead, the film is said to be a crime-comedy. Santosh Narayanan has done the music, Dinesh Narayanan is in charge of cinematography and editing is by Leo John Paul.
