According to reports, messaging app WhatsApp is working on providing a payment option to its users in its chat-based platform. The feature, expected to hit the base in India in December, will essentially work on a UPI-based payment method, say reports. WhatsApp has partnered with SBI, ICICI and HDFC banks for the feature, likely to be called WhatsApp Pay, reports revealed. The feature is in the final testing stage, reports further added.
