S Balachandran, Director of Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai, on Tuesday reportedly said that the rains due to North-East monsoon will continue in Tamil Nadu for the next two days. Chennai will receive mild showers with thunder in the evening and night, he said. Many places including Nagappattinam, Thiruvarur, Tirunelveli and Ramanathapuram received heavy rains on Tuesday, reports say.
