A 21-year-old man who burnt his girlfriend alive in Adambakkam, Chennai for rejecting his marriage proposal was booked under Goondas Act by police on Saturday. Reports say, the accused Aakash was arrested on November 14 and remanded in judicial custody by a magistrate court. After which, he was detained by police under the Goondas Act. Notably, the mother of the victim S Induja, who sustained injuries while trying to save her daughter also died recently.
