In a recent Parliament session, Jagat Prakash Nadda, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, revealed that the highest number of dengue-related deaths was reported in Tamil Nadu. In December last year, the National Vector Borne Diseases Control Programme had also reportedly said that Tamil Nadu topped the list of states with highest number of dengue cases and deaths.
