According to The news Minute, the girl wanted to visit a temple in that area so she took an autorickshaw  from a nearby auto stand. After reaching the temple, she got to know that it was closed and requested the same auto driver to drop her back home.

In the pretext of luring her, the auto driver asked if he could take her to another famous temple nearby which he knew about. On agreeing to his idea, the girl sat in the auto and they drove off. On their way to the temple, the auto driver called two other men over the phone, who boarded the auto.

On reaching the spot, the girl was scared and shocked to see no one around and demanded to be taken back. The three men then tried closing her mouth and pulled her to a dark place. They injured, raped and fled from the scene. With her semi-conscious mind and injured body, the girl came back home in a tattered state. She was then rushed to a government hospital for immediate care.

The girl's shocked and sad parents filed a police complaint and in no time they swung into action. The police then questioned few auto drivers in the nearby stand. Also, based on the girl's identification, the police later arrested two auto drivers, who have been identified as Deva and Rajan, while the third is absconding.
