The income tax officials, in an unexpected move, on Friday night conducted raids at former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s Poes Garden residence. Earlier, the house came under raid 21 years ago on December 7 in 1996 by the anti-corruption officials for five days. Earlier, the tax officials raided the premises of those close to sidelined AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala, and the raids continued for six days.
