Just In: IT raid at Jayalalithaa’s Poes Garden residence

According to reports, the income tax officials on Friday raided former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s Poes Garden residence in Chennai. Police personnel were deployed in large numbers before the house as IT officials raided the house after 21 years. The tax sleuths examined Jayalalithaa’s personal secretary Poongundran’s room and have also planned to examine the rooms used by Jayalalithaa and VK Sasikala, suggest reports. Meanwhile, Sasikala’s nephew Vivek Jayaraman arrived at the house, as officials asked him for the keys to the rooms, reports further suggested.
