A Trichy-based taxi company, DropTaxi, has published an advertisement which was inspired by the vote counts of BJP and NOTA in the RK Nagar bypoll. Published in a Tamil weekly, the ad reads ‘Thamarai pole...NOTAvai vida... Kuraivana..Veliyur...Taxi rate', which can roughly be translated into “Your fares for outstation trips will be less than NOTA and more like Lotus.” While the BJP has asked to remove the ad, the cab aggregator has refused the demand.
