TAMIL NADU: MAN STEALS OVER RS 10 LAKH FROM SHOP, GETS ARRESTED

A 38-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing a cash of Rs 10.5 lakh from a hardware shop in Coimbatore on June 26. Police arrested the carpenter named Himmatram from the city railway station.

Police reportedly said that the man was working with the shop for some time and knew the shop’s layout quite well. He was also aware of the locations where CCTV cameras had been fitted, police said.

The incident came to light when the owner opened the shop on the following day. Police recovered the money in full from Himmatram.
