SUSPECTING BOY OF STEALING, CHRISTIAN PRIEST BRANDS HIS HAND WITH HOT IRON

Police reportedly arrested a 24-year-old trainee Christian priest in Kovalam for branding a minor boy’s hands with a hot iron. Reportedly, the priest suspected him of stealing his cell phone. The priest, Ratchagadas was the caretaker of the St Joseph’s Boys Hostel in Kovalam. The priest inquired the hostel students after his cell phone had gone missing.

Since the priest suspected the minor boy of stealing his phone, he questioned him on April 13, and when did not reply, he branded the boy’s two hands with a hot iron.

The boy narrated the incident to his father after which the priest was arrested following a complaint.
