In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Assistant Commissioner John Sundar at Maduravoyal Police Station spoke about late inspector Periyapandian, who was killed in Rajasthan. Recollecting Periyapandian’s character, he said he was a tireless and positive person who rose to the position of inspector of police in a short period. Further, regarding doubts about miscommunication within officials in Rajasthan, he clarified that all the five officers who visited Rajasthan knew Hindi and it wasn’t a big restraint in the case. "Tamil Nadu police will continue to serve the people better in his memory," he added.
