The auto employee union federation of Coimbatore district has reportedly decided that they would operate as per auto meter rate from January 1 with a minimum charge of Rs 30 and Rs 15 per km. Reports say, the President of the Federation assured that autos will run per prescribed tariff framed according to convenience between consumers and auto drivers. Notably, officials of Transport department said that they did not give any approval for the auto meter tariff finalised by the federation.
