On the day of the by-election in RK Nagar, a lawyer who was traveling in a car in the constituency was involved in a quarrel with police in RK Nagar police station. The cops were insisting the lawyer to cooperate in searching his vehicle. A by-election is being conducted in RK Nagar which has been remaining vacant since the demise of the former CM J Jayalalithaa. DMK candidate Marudhu Ganesh has cast his vote.
