Metro Rail work causes huge crack on Chennai road, traffic affected

The Metro Rail work in the stretch between Tondiarpet and Tollgate metro station reportedly caused a crack in Thiruvottiyur High Road on Monday afternoon. Reports say that traffic was affected for over an hour due to this as police blocked vehicular movement on the road. However, the crack was immediately filled with soil and traffic was restored in the evening.
