DMK stages walkout from TN Assembly

The DMK legislators, led by opposition leader MK Stalin, on Tuesday, staged a walkout from the Tamil Nadu Assembly after the party MLA J Anbazhagan was interrupted while talking about the Governor’s speech. His speech was also removed from the Assembly records. Addressing the reporters, Stalin took note that the Governor, in his speech, announced that two memorials for former CM J Jayalalithaa, one in Marina beach and another being her Poes Garden house, will be created. He went on to say that Anbazhagan intended to ask how can they build a memorial for Jayalalithaa while she is convicted in the disproportionate assets case.
