Actor Kamal Haasan has reportedly offered an amount of Rs 20 lakh for setting up the Tamil chair at the Harvard University. Earlier Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami sanctioned Rs 10 crore for the chair that, once established, will focus on Tamil language, literature, history, etc.. Notably, Six other classical languages have exclusive chairs at the prestigious university.
