Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci’s 500-year-old painting become the world's most expensive painting sold for Rs 2,900 crore ($450.3 million) at an auction on Wednesday in New York City. The oil painting depicting Jesus Christ holding a crystal orb, called “Saviour of the World”, is one of fewer paintings by da Vinci known to exist.
