Heavy rains across Chennai, slows down traffic

During late night on Sunday, parts of Chennai received high rainfall and left roads battered in certain areas of the city, slowing down traffic. According to the Meteorological department, Nungambakkam recorded 52mm of rainfall at 11 pm on Sunday and reportedly said that heavy rainfall is likely to continue at isolated places over north coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
