The Municipal Commissioner of Kanchipuram, A Sardar has reportedly launched eco-friendly bags to gradually replace non-biodegradable plastic bags in the city. These eco-friendly bags can be disposed by dissolving in hot water and can also be added to cattle feed. Reports suggest that the eco-friendly bags may soon be launched in Puducherry and Chennai as well.
