According to a report in Times of India, a Divisional Rail Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) met on January 31 to decide upon on the operation of EMU trains from Thiruvallur to Tambaram. As much as 60,000 people are reportedly traveling from western suburbs like Avadi, Thiruninravur and Tiruvallur to areas Guindy, Adambakkam and Tambaram. To make the train travel easier for those people, direct trains have been planned to operate from Thiruvallur to Tambaram. However, the schedule for the same has not been planned yet.
