SHOCKING: FAMILY OF 16 TRY SELF IMMOLATION IN CUDDALORE

According to reports, 16 members of a joint family tried to set themselves on fire at the Cuddalore collectorate by pouring petrol on Monday. Allegedly, they were aggrieved by the revenue officials’ inaction in settling down dispute in their family property.

One Veerathangapandian and his family, including children, went to attend the weekly grievance meeting to lodge a fresh petition after their earlier attempts were not addressed. Police officials who were on duty at the venue stopped them from lighting the fuel.
