A 25-year-old woman reportedly tried to commit suicide after her lover refused to marry her. Reports say, the 27-year-old lover promised to wed her at a temple on January 19. However, the man failed due to show up on the day due to alleged opposition from parents and instead promised to pay settlement money. Shocked by this, the woman attempted suicide by slitting her throat. A case has been registered against the man for abetment of suicide.
