The Chennai Corporation has reportedly collected 42 tonnes of garbage from Elliot’s and Marina beaches in Chennai post Pongal celebrations. Reports say, this is almost five times higher than average. 15 tonnes of garbage was collected from Elliot’s beach while 27 tonnes of garbage was collected from Marina beach.
