Chennai: 150-year-old building collapses

According to reports, a 150-year-old building near the district collector office in Rajaji Salai of Chennai collapsed on Tuesday. The three-storey building collapsed around 10 pm on Tuesday. However, no casualties were reported. Vehicle traffic was bogged down as road was closed for transportation. Revenue Minister R B Udhayakumar and district collector Anbuselvan visited the site. The minister reportedly said the building will be destroyed completely after ensuring the safety of people living nearby.
