Twitter expands character limit starting today

Twitter has expanded its character limit from 140 to 280 starting from Wednesday after it announced the plan in September this year. Citing a data, the company explained how character constraints impacted users differently depending on their language. However, many argued that the increase to 280 characters will make Twitter less readable.
