It was announced on April 20 that Professor Nirmala Devi will be held in custody for five days by the CB-CID to conduct investigation. The police was granted permission by the Sattur Court.
Nirmala Devi, a professor at Devanga College for Art, was arrested by the police after an audio clip of her asking sexual favours for higher officials from female students at her college was released.
